03082010: Usability... it rocks!
A few more changes have been made. On the main page when you mouseover an image, you’ll get the date (right aligned) that an image was posted on. Nifty. The other change is I added the mouseover popup effect to individual post pages with the much needed “Click image to view full size” message. Apparently people who’ve been frequenting this fine site had no idea why images themselves were links.
You’re welcome.
11282009: Small Cosmetic Fix
Fixed a small cosmetic issue that may not have been noticeable to y’all but was annoying me. The mouseovers of images on the main page had a weird overlap. That’s been fixed.
All is well in my world once again.
10092009: Small Hack
For those subscribed to the RSS feed of this here site, you may notice a small change. I hacked up a relatively small Textpattern plugin that makes it so the actual posted images show up in RSS. Neat, no?
10042009: Header Changes
I wasn’t happy with the initial header. Can you blame me? I replaced the original header with images using the beautiful League Gothic font (which you can download for free here). The header also changes slightly depending on the page you’re on. This makes things a little more intuitive I hope. I also ditched the text blurb to make more space for the wider header(s).
Well… that’s about it.
09192009: Serious Updates, Folks
After about a month of this here site being alive and breathing I felt there were some much needed updates in order. Basically just some things to further assist the behind-the-scenes action to make my life easier and allow me to do less tinkering here and more shooting there. There being you know… outside.
You won’t notice any of these changes on the main page but they’re noticeable on individual image (articles really) pages. Gone is the “Click here to view full sized” link which has been replaced with the image itself being a ginormous 500×334 (or 500×747) pixel link. The other main change is the addition of automagically pulled in EXIF data. No more having to go out of my way to post this messy stuff.
So with these minor but much needed updates out of the way, I should mention that if you loyal Textpattern lovers venture to use this wonderful CMS as a photoblog, soo_image will be your friend.
